How Dune Gateway Export LLC collects, uses, shares, retains and protects personal and business information — and the rights you have in respect of it.

Please read before relying on this document

This Privacy Policy is provided as a professionally drafted template and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel for Dune Gateway Export LLC. It does not constitute legal advice. Before this website is used in production, this document must be reviewed by a qualified attorney against applicable United States federal and New Jersey state law, the EU/UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA where relevant, and the company's actual data-processing practices.

1. Introduction

Dune Gateway Export LLC ("Dune Gateway", "we", "us" or "our") is an international trade and export management company registered in the State of New Jersey, United States, with its principal place of business at 4301 Route 1, Suite 220, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal and business information we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you in respect of it.

This policy applies to dunegatewayexportllc.com and to enquiries, quotations and commercial correspondence arising from it. It does not apply to third-party websites we may link to, which operate under their own policies.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information we need in order to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you have asked for. Specifically:

  • Information you provide directly. When you complete our enquiry form or write to us, we collect your name, company name, business email address, telephone number (where supplied), country, the enquiry category you select and the content of your message.
  • Commercial and transactional information. Where an enquiry progresses to a quotation or an order, we collect the information necessary to perform the engagement — specifications, volumes, destinations, delivery requirements and the correspondence relating to them.
  • Technical information. Our servers automatically record standard request data including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page and the date and time of access. This is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
  • Communications records. We retain correspondence between us so that we have an accurate record of what was agreed, quoted and delivered.

We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data, and we ask that you do not include such information in enquiry messages. This website is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and prepare quotations or proposals;
  • Perform a contract with you, or take steps at your request prior to entering into one;
  • Source, qualify and instruct suppliers and freight providers on your behalf;
  • Prepare and submit export documentation as required by the destination jurisdiction;
  • Maintain accurate commercial, accounting and tax records;
  • Protect the security and integrity of this website and prevent fraudulent or abusive use;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, customs and sanctions-screening obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only where it is necessary, and only with recipients bound by confidentiality obligations. Categories of recipient include:

  • Suppliers, manufacturers and wholesalers, where required to source or fulfil your requirement;
  • Freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and inspection agencies, where required to move and clear a consignment;
  • Professional advisers, including legal, accounting, banking and insurance providers;
  • Technology service providers who host this website, deliver our email and maintain our systems, acting on our instructions as processors;
  • Government, customs and regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to complete an export or import formality.

We may also disclose information where required to comply with a lawful request, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Dune Gateway Export LLC, our clients or others.

6. International transfers

We are an international trade business. Delivering our services necessarily involves transferring information across borders — to suppliers at origin, to freight providers along the route and to authorities at destination.

Where information originating in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred to a jurisdiction that has not received an adequacy decision, we put appropriate safeguards in place, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with any supplementary measures the transfer requires.

7. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and thereafter for as long as required by law.

  • Enquiries that do not proceed to an engagement: retained for up to 24 months, so that we can recognise a returning enquiry in context.
  • Client and transactional records: retained for the duration of the relationship and for a minimum of 7 years thereafter, to satisfy United States tax, accounting, customs and export-record obligations.
  • Website technical logs: retained for up to 12 months for security and diagnostic purposes.

When a retention period expires, information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. Security

We maintain technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit over TLS, access controls limiting information to personnel who need it, credential hygiene for administrative systems, and regular review of the third-party services we rely on.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take the protection of your information seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and any transmission is at your own risk.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • To request access to the information we hold about you;
  • To request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • To request erasure of information, where no overriding legal or contractual basis requires us to retain it;
  • To request restriction of, or to object to, particular processing;
  • To request a portable copy of information you provided to us;
  • To withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • To lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority or state Attorney General.

To exercise any of these rights, write to admin@dunegatewayexportllc.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, and in any event within one month of receiving a valid request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

10. Cookies and analytics

This website is built to function without advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling.

If analytics are enabled on this site, they are configured to collect aggregate usage statistics only. Where a jurisdiction requires consent before any non-essential cookie or similar technology is set, that consent will be obtained before it is used.

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so will not prevent you from using this website.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page records the most recent revision. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
